NOPE  it was mocha full leather interior too.

the motor was toast. i took the tranny, someone already got to some of the body paneling and the headlights. another person got the headlight core(term?) the wing, the back wheels (it had donuts on the front). the car was beat on pretty hard. the interior was ugly, dash was cracked, greasy dirty and ripped. EATC buttons were smashy smashy.

best part was too, that car was given to Troy, we took what we needed, and the shell is off to be made into a guard rail or I beams or something. the motor and front cradle are sitting in my truck awaiting a similar fate.

Part em and Crush em is my new motto.

Before the motor gets made into a microwave, don't forget to grab the alternator brackets for me. I think one is actually the engine mount/alternator bracket. Whee!

And that was one of the worse looking shells that we sent off.

oh you know this Troy. me and Adam grabbed the bracket yesterday. i got a popped tire for my trouble too. glad i only run those Falken Ziex tires on the truck instead of BFGs like i normally do, could have got expensive. i gotta get my tire warranty repaired and put on a spare wheel since i bought one at a competitor in a pinch yesterday.

I still remember gutting Jesse's black 89, that only needed a little work, was rust free and straight as heck.

hate to say it, but i'm really enjoying parting and crushing these cars.

It's gone gone... Off to become a stop sign somewhere. Bob got the spoiler anyway. I have a straight green decklid from a 92 (no wing) you can have for the cost of shipping and $10 donated to Bizzy.

Sorry I missed you guys on Sunday. It sounds like everyone had fun.

I have two things to say:

#1 I am sure that Tom will be Ecoboost compatible with the new technology coming out of Ford. (it was way funnier when D-man and I were enjoying some cold ones)

#2 Tom, I'm suprised that you haven't changed the caption under my name to "Donovan's BFF" LOL! :D

Jesse,

Just because I have the power to do that, doesn't mean I should. But that would be funny.

Yeah, Bob was incredible and a good sport. He made out because all I could say all day was "twenty dollars and it's yours. Maybe now the cops will quit pulling him over. I became a Mute when Adam asked about the welder and plasma cutter costs.

Donovan's pic was of me putting the car back on after the stripping party, getting it off the trailer WHEN THEY FORGOT TO DISCONNECT ONE LITTLE CHAIN, would have been worth a lot more laughs.

Good time had by all and no one got hurt, though Eric did overdo with his sore body from his smashing pumpkins concert.

Donovan, thanks for the case hardened sockets; you didn't need to buy two whole sets, but thanks for replacing the busted ones.

Tom

Tom,

I find keeping you happy, just seems to be the right thing to do when i run into a pinch and you have no issue helping me. I figure if you have to do anything too crazy with the Rex out back or Dusty might need em with the Merkur they would come in handy. they were helpful when Adam and I tore down the cradle.

Big thanks to everyone for all the sage advice and cheap parts! The blue SHO made it from Cave Creek back to S. Scottsdale without incident. Special Bonus: it passed emissions test yesterday!

Thanks Tom for the hospitality! That new tire/rim made the rest look terrible. I'll have to take a glamor photo of just that front corner of the car. I'm going to take a run at the thermostat housing / seals and see what happens. Hopefully, I won't have to call on Donovan to crush it just yet.

dont worry, you'll be okay for now. but i suggest socking away every extra cent you got to afford the next repair. or i will be showing up with a trailer, winch and a smile. the scrap yard I went to is very lax on whether or not they even care. as long as the engine is out of it they dont even want the title. and they take tires, and things with fluid in em etc.
