Just FYI to anyone following along - 2011TAURUSSEL, 14SHOWP, and I will be heading to Pittsburgh Cars N Coffee in Warrendale this Saturday. We'll let you guys know how it goes.

Also, Pitt Race changed formats a bit and no longer offers Trackcross. Instead, the SCCA is taking over that function with their Track Nights program. It went from $60 a pop to $150 (ugh), but with the addition of more structure, etc., so presumably safer and maybe fewer cars due to the price.

If anyone has a RED we have an opening for #4. I tried to talk RCR into getting a red paint wrap for the weekend but he wouldnt go for it. We are trying to get a red/white/Blue theme.

OK, so we're back from Pittsburgh Cars 'n Coffee... it was really, really fun. Really nice to meet 14SHOWP and 2011TAURUSSEL. 14SHOWP... your ride looks sick with tinted windows, totally sold me on it. ;)

In regards to future meets, I'm open, seems like Pittsburgh CnC is a great venue for the casual get-together. Aside from meeting shoforum buds, you also get to see some amazing other rides: there was a lambo, a BMW i8 that was gorgeous, a few Lotus Elise, a couple Alpha Romeo 4Cs, a brand new Challenger Hellcat, a few GT-Rs, lots of Evo's, even more Porches (various models), and far fewer Mustangs than I expected. ...and my wife and youngest daughter came along too, they had a blast... and Steph (my wife) found her "sports car groove" in a 370Z which are really quite attractive in person. (Never fancied them in photos, but in person they're pretty sharp.)

As far as track oriented meets, one of the Lotus owners is an instructor at PittRace. I think that'll make an excellent venue to do a PDE class, it really is a great facility, if anyone's game for that. We'd have to sign up well in advance though, they fill up fast.

OK... for our next meet... for those interested... this one's FREEEEEEEE... the Ford Ecoboost Challenge http://www.ecoboostdrive.com/

They're coming to Pitt Race on May 30th. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll let you drive your own car there, but if you want to give a Focus ST, Mustang EB, or Fiesta ST a go, I'm thinking this is a great opportunity to do it. I already booked a 12pm slot.

Since the SHO has the top of the line EB motor, I can't imagine they'd not have that there, but then again it is Ford, so I dunno, never know.

I emailed them. The SHO will not be present. Why they so undersell that car is beyond me. Oh well, looking forward to giving the Mustang EB a go. :D

Absolutely. We can do cars and coffee again or track night in america at Pitt Race. It's cheaper if you participate fully. There's also flashlight drags, and some decent 1/4 mile strips in the region too. Lots of choices.

The new house is awesome. We waterproofed and insulated the garage, so I can work in there year round. (WOOT!) Just got some decorations for Christmas to put up in there too, including a neon Ford clock :D

What's kept me away has been work, mostly. Been a very weird year, plus the new house, just haven't had a lot of free time really. But been doing well otherwise. You?

Same old, same old, and that's a good thing. First real winter storm to blast through Fri-Sat, hoping spring is around the corner so we can have some meetups!!!

Cool... so, Pittsburgh Cars n' Coffee is starting up April 2. They meet every two weeks. A few of us went once last year... you just show up, make sure your ride is clean and park it. Then go check out the huge range of amazing cars in our area. Good times.

Anyhow, it's just around the corner, if you guys want to meet up on the opener that's cool - or we could wait 2 weeks, 4 weeks, whatever, til it's maybe a touch warmer, up to you.

I'm in for a meet.

I just noticed you're from Bethlehem. If Pittsburgh's too long of a haul for you, we might be able to organize a different event for eastern PA. There's a couple of NHRA drag strips on the eastern side, one in Boiling Springs near Carlisle, and one more north by Shamokin Dam area at Numidia PA.

Then of course, there's the annual Carlisle Ford Nationals, which I will probably being going to either way.

LOL...yeah. When you mentioned cars and coffee, I thought you were talking about Bethlehem! Pittsburgh is a bit far but I'm down for Numedia or Calisle.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump - I'm hoping to go to Pittsburgh Cars n' Coffee this weekend if anyone wants to meet up. Went two weekends ago with the SHO and the Ecostang, in spite of the rain it was nice with a decent turnout. Any interest?
