Past owner looking to get back into SHOs

Hi All, I don't currently own a SHO but I've started searching. Owned four in the past, a Gen 1 and three Gen 3s, and I'm again looking for a Gen 3. Gave up a beautiful, low mileage Toreador Red '98 a couple years ago because I had too many cars and it was one of them that was ready to sell, but since letting it go have regretted it. So hoping to find another and participating in the forum as an owner. Jim

Found a '96, rust-free with only 63K miles. One owner (following two year corporate lease). Spent entire life in S. CA, maintained annually at ford dealer as documented on CarFax. So good find apart from unwelded cams. So I shipped to Ford Performance Specialists outside Atlanta and got it done, along with whatever else it needed which wasn't much. Very nice though several minor cosmetic issues to address, expected in a 23 year-old car.

Am still drawn to certain others, like a Medium Willow Green, Medium Graphite, or a very mint white, any year. Could see myself getting a second 3rd gen if/when the right car comes along.

I bet there are as many or more dead from tranny failure, which was the reason I walked away from mine.
