Jason,

I think SHOPO is getting the engine.

Mike,
What do you mean, YOU have a nice set of slicers. I have a nice set of slicers in my trunk, is that what you mean. :D I'll have a spare mtx if you want to learn about them, but I was hoping to talk Bizzy into coming down this winter and rebuilding one and installing a Quaife for me, that is, if she can provide some references. :D

Eric,
Yes it would be great if you could help also. I'll load up all my tools and my offroad floor jack and a pallet. The place is on Broadway at 3250 West. Take the I-17 to 19th ave. South on 19th to Broadway to 3250 W. It's called u-pull-it or something like that.

I'll call them today to see if they're open at 7:00 so we can beat the heat. I want the axles and hubs and rotors also so we can take the whole thing out as one piece. Should make it easier on us.

There are, (or were), four good bi-directional slicers and reasonable tires on it last week. Four of five lugs were off each wheel, the remaining being a McGard type. Perhaps a star wrench couold be jammed on the nut and removed.

The slicers are gone now.

Jason, PM me later tonight and we can talk about a 3.2 block I have here. I've got enough parts to build something for you. We can scrounge everything else we need.

Tom,

Sweet deal! I'll PM you. Also, if you want a tranny done with a Quaife... You don't need Beth to travel all the way from Michigan... I'll do it ;)

SHOPO and Eric,

They open at 7:00 AM. I'll be there at 7 with my tools and stuff. Any other AZ SHO club people that want to help, see you there.

I might be interested in the engine harness, the accessories, and brackets if they aren't already spoken for.

I think they will go with the engine. I was just there and there are still two decent looking slicers on the back end with lock lugnuts holding them on.

The the sensor out of the MAF is gone. Somebody took off the oil cap and left it on the intake; I put it back on.

I talked with a cute young lady in the front office today and she stated that there is a forklift on duty and FREE all day Saturday.

Can you guys think of any additions tools I shoud bring besides cmbination wrenches, sockets and screw drivers, jacks, etc.?

Big socket and breaker bar to get the front suspension undone. I'll have mine once I get out there.

Tom, feel free to call me when yer leavin' in the morning and I'll head out there. My truck is still impounded at Lou Grubb (waiting for tranny parts, that hard shift business caught up with it), so I'll be driving the SHO. I'll still bring my toolbox, etc., though.

Eric,

I'll leave Dooley ville at 6:15 or so. Do you want to ride with me in the truck?

The results are in:

Engine with everything that we could attach to it with cable ties: 175.00 Brian, I owe you five bucks.

5 speed with axles, mounts, subframe, hubs, rotors and calipers: 177.00

Brian donated the rod shifter to Eric's Bondurant ATX to MTX conversion. Very nice of him.

We're going to leave the engine attached to the tranny and subframe for now so that Brian and related future owner can go through it and do all the freshening up.

Productive 2 hours worth of work if you ask me.

Thanks for the help Eric and Brian.

Sounds great guys!! I was able to pick up a complete motor with all accessories, new clutch still attached :D, 26mm sway bar, misc. trim pieces and gauge faces for $250 out the door. Best part, I did not even have to pull the motor! It was already pulled and wrapped up when we got there.

Just got back from Alb N.M......700 miles on the 90 and she ran great. No wonder there are never any parts left on these SHO's after we get thru with them, ya'll are tag team chop shop guys.

Nice job team.

Tom: I was thinking the same thing about the quaife and tranny and such as far as beth coming down. Sounds like there are 2 more rides out there with trannys in them. Any bets on who will be in AZ first? Jason or Beth?

Eric:

Da Nada! Kinda like an alumni donation. (Is it tax deductible?)
As to the chipper fog; I told She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed i didn't need my fiber pill today!
Tom:

Saturday is fine Brian, but not before 9:00 AM. I'll move it to the washing area with the forklift and fire up the Super High Intensity Trash remover when you guys get here. I also have a compressor to get all of the water out of where it shouldn't be afterward.

That'll probably be a good time for me to come up and clean the other subframe. When Brian's done with that one I'll sneak in with the subframe.

Copy that Eric. I'll probably clean up that one from that silver 93 and your old one from the Bondurant car. I'm going to start assembling everything for my 95 ATX swap-out.
