Here's the OEM part number....

Personally, I wouldn't use anything Bosch in my cars.

The Ford part number is FOSZ-9F472-A, and it;s one of the few parts that Ford hasn't discontinued, due to the broad number of applications.

Sorry,
Here are the oxygen sensor part numbers for both the ATX and MTX:

ATX / F1SZ-9F472-A

MTX / FOSZ-9F472-A

My understanding is that the difference between the front and rear sensors is the length of the wire-harness lead, and the above sensor numbers will work in either position. In the MTX there was no "down-stream" sensor. And if I remember correctly, Denso was the OEM supplier for the sensors. email me and I can hook you up with a source if you want OEM.

there is no down stream in the 93 to 95 ATX either........the down stream came with OBD II

the motorcraft numbers are DY 606 =MTX
DY 649 = ATX

motorcraft would be the same quality as a factory part.

I think rockauto is $55 bucks for either sensor

The Bosch sensors have proven themselves to be completely reliable and effective in these cars. There is no valid reason for not using them.

All OBD1 vehicles only have "front" sensors. "Front" does not equate to their position relative to the engine placement en the car, but to the position relative to the catalytic converter. OBDII (1996-on) vehicles have one or more "rear" O2 sensors that are there to monitor converter performance. The terms "front" and "rear" are used interchangeably with "upstream" and "downstream".

thank you steve, when i say front and rear what i mean is

front = o2 sensor is rad side (short wire )

rear = o2 sensor is fire wall side (long wire )

thats the way our advanced auto store ask when you buy a sensor there ..
