whats so fake about this, i painted a paintable XM antenna white so it woudlent stand out on my trunk......

I think you've got to keep it so far away from glass though.
So the signal is clear(as if).
I have mine ran out the moonroof.
It looks good but I think that is what killed my moonroof motor

Hope the paint isn't metallic. I remember in the Navy some Boatswains' men painted the radar dome making the radar useless.

The flakes in metalic paint are actually plastic or mica, it won't affect it all.
