dont forget on the coil pack starting at the top of the drivers side it goes 123 then the bottom of the passenger side it goes 465. i had that going 456 before it ran just all funny of course.
its one of those things you forget sometimes and wire it in order going up instead of the right order.

double check the IAB also make sure its tight... i seen these cars start with the vacuums messed up and firing order wrong before so i think its more of a ground.. check recheck and check again because trust me i have a habbit sometimes of thinking i did something when i didnt.

Happened to me exact same thing, so i tracked the ground and found that on the x-over tube (that the ICM is mounted on ) was getting its ground from the two bolts that hold it to the tanks on the intake and we all know the ground comes in from the strap on the (FORD) tank if you painted those two spots it can stop the grounds and will not get clean fire signals to the DIS, so check and clean those two spots. Hope that helps!!!

Hey Brad, You can move your ground strap from the top rear intake brackert, to the lower intake bracket. The lower intake bracket goes into te rar head. Use that.:thumb: Also double ckeck that the crossover tube is torqued down 11-17 ftlbs. If you had your DIS module off of the side of the cross over tube, make sue its grounded as well. The module gets its ground from the bottom 2 bolts (5.5mm?).

Lemme get this right...you were going to try to start your car without torqueing down the intake?

I moved the ground strap onto the bracket that connects to the crossover tube, is that ok?

Your new ground location on the crossover tube is ok. Intake torque is 11-17 ftlbs.:thumb:

Don't feel bad. My 351W wouldn't start after I built it from scratch (first timer story).

I had the Edelbrock performer plus carb with the vacuum port for the brake booster...I forgot to plug it. Obviously it was a huge vacuum leak and the car would sputter and die. I was playing with timing, and was able to get it to barely fire. I double checked fireing order and was about an inch away from dissassembling the front end and double checking the cam timing. This went on for 3 stinkin days and all I wanted to do was hear the biotch fire up. Well after 3 days of head shaking, I finally disconnected the ignition, and cranked it from under the hood. I could hear it sucking air but it sounded funny. After a quick look at the carb area, I was off to the bolt box to finid a plug. I could not find one so I stuck my finger in there and the sound was WAY different. I quickly plugged my ignition back up, stuck my finger in the hole, pumped the carb, and jumped the solinoid. I nearly melted when heard it fire!
