ok i was doing some touch up on my car and when i noticed the newly painted part seemed brighter then the rest i got a concern.

ok i got a 95 green SHO and from what i gathered it was deep jewel green paint. i was just making sure that is the correct color for the car.

thanks in advance.

by the way i did 2 coats of color but i dont think it will get darker with a third coat so im assuming its just either one of two things, the paint on the car faded (well got darker) over the years or the paint i got was incorrect color.

:salute:

It is Deep Jewel Green Metalic (complete name)
I had my rear bumper repainted (after a firebird literaly kissed my ass) and amazingly, the color match is perfect. Maybe the guy that did the color screwed it up a bit ?

It all depends on if the body shop scaned the paint to match it, and/or if the paint supplier pre-faded the color. Unless the rest of the car was wheeled, it is easy to have a final paint not match exactly due to weathering of the rest of your paint if not matched correctly, or if it isn't 'finished' afterwards... My experience has always been that if you lay some extra coats on the car, it does get darker though, but DJGM was always an easy color to work with for me...

Sometimes its just simply that way my friend. Doesnt matter if you go to maaco or a highly recomended local shop. If your factory(allready decade+ year old) paint is a lil dull, you probably wont notice too too much till you get a freshly painted part on the car. The best is to get the entire car repainted in my opinion, that way it will look like new and no more multi greens !

yeah im starting to think what was mentioned earlier might be right about if it was painted before and they didnt match it up.
i believe is was in a wreck before because a few reasons. my drivers fender was replaced, the front bumper is different, the rad support has dents in it from the headlight header pushing into it and not to mention when it was atx my subframe had a bend.

but either way i just figure im gonna paint it later this summer and i might at well try a new color.

does anyone know the proper way to get the door trim off without killing it ?
other then that i know how to remove everything on the body.

o yeah and Brian my stickers inside my doors are gone so i dont know.
