try to unplug the maf and start it. The Check Engine light will come on, but if it runs, it's a fuel or MAF issue. Does the tach move at all when it's running?

whats this stuff iv herd of a improperly gapped cps? Maybe the cps is out of gap and is starting to go bad so its making a half ass atempt to run. .
thats a myth, the CPS does not need to be gapped, just so long as it dosent hit anything.

If it only runs by fooling with the throttle, you need to look at the IAB.

Also, the PO put an 80mm MAF on there and I bet he didn't tune for it. The tach moves. I will try what has been suggested here and go from there.

If you have an 80mm MAF on there without any tuning aid (LPM, TweEECer, etc), that is quite possibly the final part of your problems. Put a known good stock MAF back on the car.

agreed, this would be the first thing id check.
try cleaning it first, but don't use harsh chemicals like carb cleaner.
theres plastic in there and it will melt it.

freakin PO. he musta had the intake off and injectors out because one intake gasket was blown and there were two injectors with no o-rings :madflame: Ugh I hate people who take stuff apart and don't know what they're doing. Hopefully this will help it run a little better lol

Hey guys new update. I put in new o-rings along with a new injectors since one was cracked. Now it will not idle unless you give it gas. I've cleaned the iab and it now has a stock maf and airbox. One thing I noticed is that I forgot to put the ground strap back on the intake so i don't know if that will do that to the idle. I pulled codes and I got 111 (all systems ok) and 542 (fuel pump circuit failure). I am getting tired of this POS!

if you have missed a ground strap, it will run like S@%*, if at all. I forgot to hook the big ground strap up at the back left of the intake once and it kept randomly dying unless I gave it gas... as soon as I let off the gas, boom, dead. Grounds are paramount on this car! Especially that strap! I can almost guarantee you that's the problem. Fix it! You'll be glad you did in the end! And please... for $200 you ain't doing too bad!

VAC leak comes to mind for some odd reason to me maybe a blown hose or coupling...

UPDATE! It is running good now. I bought the car for 200 + 300 in parts + app. 700 for a trans (I know a guy :) ) = a nice rust free SHO for 1,200!
