Ive been considering having my basketweaves powdercoated, or simply rattle can painted black. I like the look, but am uncertain that they would look at home on my titanium '89.

I need your opinions...

PS the right height is photoshopped... hopefully it will ride at a similar height after my new springs and struts (and a few minor mods with a sawsall :D )

Gotta go with the black. Powdercoated would be much better long term than the spray can. Of course, you already knew this!

excellent.

The more I look at the photo the more I like the black. And the input so far is just what I needed thumb

I mean, it isnt like basketweaves are rare :D

I will be painting them when my SHO is down (or up) for it's suspension work. :)

Black Weaves were an option in '90. Very classy on a titanium, black (looking for that Robocop look), or Mocha 91 would look ok I think; White is a bit much, but others will say they like it; red & green gen 1's - nah.

They look better in black. Way better. And for that matter I already thought your rims were black from the pic in your sig. It's kind of grown on me (sniffle sniffle).

wow those do look nice.

The guy I bought my SHO from got rid of the slicers for basketweaves... huh What's up with that doh

But now maybe I'll keep them... do you guys think powdercoated black would look good on a cherry red '92 SHO?

Just be sure to have a nice, bright "rim" or the wheels will look tiny.

I love my Black on Black on Black 90. beer

I never saw JT's plus in person, but he said that when he painted his wheels and had the polished lip, it made them look visually smaller. He then painted the lip black to match. Just a thought...
