I thought about trying to repair it, but its double walled in that area. I found out just how bad when I jacked up just the rear wheels to go under and replace a torn muffler hanger. Had it on jackstands at the two rear jacking points. All of a sudden a sound of ripping metal and the bolt at the rear of the subframe tore completely out, dropping the subframe about 4 or 5 inches.

Later inspection showed that the U shaped rib stiffener at the front of the floor was completely rotted out. What I suspect happened is that when the windshield was replaced early on the installer didn't use pinchweld primer. Was getting leaks on the passenger floorboard even when not driven, I bet water and salt were leaking in between the inner and outer panels. With significant rust at the drivers side mounting point as well, I figured doing both sides was going to be very expensive.

The rocker panel pinch welds are still mint on this car, by virtue of the mudflaps I ran on the car.

Instead of replying in that other thread i'll reply here about the trans.

Supposedly Aldrich has a trans i'm waiting to hear back from him. He always comes through so I doubt i'll be looking but it's nice to have options, I need a spare. LMK what you'll want for it shipped also.

I have a black car so the body parts aren't needed but i'm curious about the interior color.

I'm considering just purchasing your diff and installing it in the parts trans I have, but i've never done it. I researched it in depth years ago, i'll have to look into it again.

After I get over all the money i'm sinking into the a/c system right now I might purchase your struts. I have kyb quick struts and they are absolutely horrible. My oem fronts with 200k rode considerably better. PM me a price shipped on all four for the **** of it.

All I have are rear Konis, one new insert in box, one with roughly 5 K on it in housing, and one well used example (but not leaking) in housing. They are long body type. Not in a hurry to sell as I may swap them onto my new SHO. The fronts sold almost before the ad went up.

Zak,

I have a 89 SHO needing rear struts and would like to know if you would like to sell the pair you have. I have a pair for the front and would like to have KONIs on all four corners. Thanks, Mike

Any 89-91 parts? Need a driver's side front marker light.
Unfortunately, I now have to run my '91 Plus year-round due to financial issues and have to fix up a bunch of stuff.

Some updates:
stock low mile differential is sold
still deciding whether to part with the rear long body Koni set

Stock set of slicers available off a 1995, no curbing, never seen winter, but less than perfect (e.g. scratches from hubcap removal, think one or more might have outside wheel weight clipped on)

@ Jahman, surely the yards in California would have lots of DIS, any 1990-1995 SHO or 1991-1996 T-bird could donate one.

@ Tery, I think it would have been way more than 400 for mine, the "frame rail" flor stiffener part was 80% rusted away and both the upper and lower floor layers where the subframe attached were rotted through, will take a closer look when I get the carpet out. And once the passenger side was fixed, the drivers side was on its way.

Anyone need any green Gen2 body parts (clearcoat still shines on most of them)

Looks like I may hang on to the 16x8 wheels.

Here was Ginger's floor when I first got her..."Keep you Eyes on the road...yeah...look down!

I did get connected with a rural guy here who does restorations and he was a lot cheaper than I think most would have charged for the work.

Ed,

I think the -C part is the same as the regular Taurus, might try a junkyard. If I recall correctly a speedometer shop could make a new core of the correct length for your existing cable.

If by some chance the ATX part is the same as 94-95 MTX then I may have one kicking around
