Old bolts don't fit new water pump pully

Hi, it's a 94 mtx, i am doing a front 60k, i got the parts from RCM every thing fit fine, until i tried to bolt the water pump pulley back on, it seems that the threads are not the same? anyone else seen this before? i did search the forum and could not find anything, Thanks.

Is the pulley mount painted or coated? If so, it may be the paint interfering.

Also possible that you don't have the stock bolts anymore (ie. previous WP was aftermarket with aftermarket hardware).

it was paint, i ran a m8 1.25 tap through it, worked great
