OK, Heater core is dead, now what??

I did a search to try to find the fastest way to do this, and didnt come up with much. I have to do it myself because I cannot afford to pay someone to do it. I was just wondering where I can find a writeup, or if someone can do one? Also, while I am down there should I do the blend door actuator?
