Sure can, bro! It's a long-developed skill that stems from doing a little research on a subject rather than talking out my ass. I bet with some hard work and dedication you might be capable of doing the same some day, when you become a grownup.

No actually I'm exactly right. Starting with the source shared by Kevin which received your commendation:

Need more? I'm sure I can probably dig up at least a thousand of these...

Yes...but my link also said, ALWAYS use the oil weight suggested by vehicle manufacturer. And that's coming from the folks at amsoil. They know a thing or two.

Yeah cause Wikipedia is totally reliable. Literally anyone can go change that stuff dude. And don't even get me started on sales catalogues and how many lies are in them. Are you seriously that thick headed?

This is just too damn funny. Feel free to pontificate on why you think supporting a claim with several citations from credible relevant sources fits the definition of a genetic fallacy. I enjoy watching cognitive trainwrecks

You claim that I'm trying to commit a fallacy by invalidating your sources. In doing so your claiming that im not a proper source to say whether or not your sources are credible. Your literally saying the exact thing your trying to fight against dude. You just can't understand that I told you that all the stuff you read online isn't true.

Lol it you're so far off the rails now that you've totally lost track of what you were even trying to debate with me...
The 5W (w is for "winter") refers to low temp performance at 0°.
The weight is how long it takes to warm up, not how it acts when its cold.....

So rather than support your made-up claim about motor weight nomenclature with one shred of empirical or rational evidence, you're essentially proclaiming that the whole lubricant and automotive industry to be lying because wikipedia (and its citations) happens to agree. Then when called out for it you've responded with "I know you are but what am I" (https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/tu-quoque). And now you're using https://www.logicallyfallacious.com/logicalfallacies/Just-Because-Fallacy but in hilarious fashion you're applying it as a double-down on your genetic fallacy rather anything actually related to oil.

Are we done debating this simple, universally accepted fact?

Lmao

I've been using the same viscosity of oil for the past 4 years in multiple cars and have not encountered any issues with regards to cold weather and oil. The only thing that gave me issues was my battery when it was -54 out or so...
