This is strange. While doing an oil change I do my usual inspection to check everything, and there's a trail of oil from the bottom rear of the AC Compressor, through the front mount, to the subframe. There's no seams there, so I don't think it's the compressor, but then again where else can it come from? Valve covers?-then it would start at the top of the compressor, not just the side. Top end 60k was done in october anyway. From the Oil filter? The exhaust is in between the two, and it's dry. Front oil seal?- it does leak, but it's too far back and below for it to end up there.
I turned it on to see if anything was leaking-nothing. Tried to turn on the AC too, but its below freezing so it won't turn on (20 deg temps this week). I don't think it's the AC anyway- the oil looked the same as the stuff I drained from the car-not esther oil. Any ideas what it could be? I'll check some engine pictures, it might give me a clue.
