I just replaced both turbos for a third time. when I took of the intercooler boot off the front turbo a lot of oil came out. a lot as in a puddle bigger of a dinner plate. I could not get the smoke to clear up. I remove the UPR catch can i had installed. The tube on it that ran from the catch can up to the oil fill then over to the cold air intake was full of oil spilled out the size of a salad plate. So I have left off the UPR at this point. I am still getting oil dripping from the front intercooler boot. Why or what can I do to stop this leak? Any help please Thanks Keith

2010 sho is what I am working on, car has 130k miles

Is the oil coming from the turbo or draining out of the intercooler? You could have residual oil in the intercooler. How is your catch can connected? Your description didn't sound right. Is it connected to the dirty side (rear valve cover) or the clean side (front valve cover)?

I would like to ask - is the UPR newly added - and its a 2 valve - so shouldnt it be connected to the dirty and clean side?

I think the oil is coming from the inter cooler, But i am going to bull it off and let it sit over night to make sure. wont get to doing that till Saturday night.
the catch can had the places is connected. One went from the catch can to the PVC value this hose was directional and I had the arrow pointed to the PVC. one went from the CC to the place the where the hose from the PVC value plugged into the plitium. The last hose went from the CC up front had a tee to hook up to the oil fill tube then went over to the cold air intake.

krytto I added the UPR 2-3 ago. I am not sure it it is a 2 value the CC has three hosed connected to it. I have put it all back to stock. I tried to explain better to my reply Brad.

Three connections is a 2 valve. All good, the reason for the ask is to see how u have it hooked up.

That's a good test to do. As for this "The tube on it that ran from the catch can up to the oil fill then over to the cold air intake was full of oil spilled out the size of a salad plate.", that line shouldn't have oil in it if the system is working correctly. The catch can might have been full or it's not working properly.

Kryptto that is a great video. Brad I am thinking I did the install wrong. First if my memory is correct I had the check valve going from the center of the can to the PVC. In the video it went to the intake. The system I bought only had one check valve. In the video he connected the two turbos together with a check value then to the CC. In the video the fresh air intake went to the oil fill from the box. I had it going from the fresh air intake on the cold air intake tube to the oil fill then to the CC. according to the video I need another check valve. and I need to run from the air box to the oil fill tube. I am going to contact UPR Monday. Thanks so much guys Keith

First off thanks to the forums for finding his YT videos, Tag and subscribe: FordTechMakuloco

I removed my dirty side J&L yesterday, on the 10th I will be installing a UPR CC which includes all the check valves - Goodyear hoses and needed items. Gonna have the store shoot a YT video and post the link on the install.

Glad it helped.
