Oh Crap! Need Help Again

Ok I got all my stuff from rockauto.com today...

I orderd the Federal Mogul timing belt cause it said it had timing marks and well....I dont see any. It has the sealed power logo on it and then near that it has 709=

It looks like a beefy belt and all but I am kinda miffed I have never done a tbelt and I really wanted thowse marks.

What should I do here? It is a sealed power 222B202

Don't suppose there's a reason you ordered the FM belt insteasd of the Gates T248 that has been in every post of what to get? Especially since it is more expensive...

The marks are helpful. You can still use it as long as the cams and the crank are properly lined up. Without the marks, you will have to exercise extreme care to ensure that everything is lined up since you don't have marks to verify alignment.

Sorry man I kinda freaked out when I saw the belt... I have been with out my sho for weeks and I really want to get it back on the road again? Does anyone have tips for installing the belt with out the marks?

Count how many teeth between marks on your installed belt and make marks on your new belt. If it were me I'd just return it and get the Gates T-248 belt. I don't think I could install the belt properly without the marks. It really wants to go on a couple teeth off and you have to fight it a bit to get it on with the proper alignment.

Look, just line the cams up TDC and the crank TDC. TDC for the cams are 12 o'clock, crank is about 5 o'clock (you'll see the marks). Good luck! thumbs_u

Return that unmarked belt and get the Gates T248 from FPN, AutoZone, O'Reilly or any other local auto parts store. You can be very careful to do your best, but you still can't guarantee that belt is installed correctly without those marks.
