there was no coolent at ALL in my car this morning

friday night i took it to the track, engine temp was fine all night stayed pretty much the same, middle of the guage

then came home and it sat for about 10 hours at least till i went to work the next morning at 8, no puddle

then it sat for 2 hours in someone driveway, when i moved it no puddle, then it sat infront of someones house while we loaded a truck, for at least 6 hours when i left no puddle

then last night i garaged it beause i found some note threatning my SHO, when i pulled it out this morning there was a little coolent on the floor so i pulled the cap and looked, all the sediment had washed to the top and that was empty and so was the resivior(sp?)

so i pulled one of the hoses, nothing empty WTF

ok so i call the step dad and he suggested filling the system with water to find the leak, so i did, ran it for a bit, went around the block come back NOTHING no leak at all

what in the **** is going on, should i take this somewhere to get looked at or just keep and eye on the engine temp and coolent and throw a jug of 50/50 in my trunk?

Which hose did you pull to look for coolant? If there isn't any in the car then it HAD to go somewhere. Again if there isn't any in the car it was either all burned up (headgasket, etc, very unlikely, I think you would've noticed something odd :) ) or it leaked out. If you pulled the upper radiator hose or something like that there prolly won't be coolant in there. I'm guessing there is coolant in the car and the reservoir bottle is just empty. How much water did you have to add and where did you put it?

Check your oil, make sure it doesn't look like peanut butter, that would be a worst case senario for a blown head gasket. That happened on my 1998 Oldsmobile 2.8L..Cutlas Cierra. But, he is right, it must be going somewhere, because it does't just dissapear, maybe a leaking H2o pump and the coolant is buring up on the cats, so you have no puddle.

ok just checked the oil, thank GOD its oily and not peanut butterish like you said it was alittle low but i do have a minor leaking oil pan problemand a tad bit of burn off

i filled where the radiator cap is, then the resivior then turned the car on and continued to fill the cap until it was at the top

this makes no sense

You still didn't say what hose you pulled to check for coolant.

After refilling the system, you said you just drove it around the block. This might not have been enough time for the thermostat to open and the problem to show itself.

If you saw coolant on the ground under the car, obviously its leaking from somewhere.

Maybe whoever was threatening your SHO actually tried to harm it?
