So I was cleaning the engine bay and saw this laying on the driver's side frame rail under the air cleaner box. Just laying there. Reached in and pulled it out. I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas? And be realistic lol. Thanks.

That's what I was going to say - some type of "anchor it to the ground" thing - what's the string/whatever on it? Monofilament?

No its like craft glue. My son thinks it's a PDR tool, paintless dent repair.

As long as it's not something important I'm good. I just hate when I find strange shit under the hood and have no idea what it is lol.

Makes me kinda wonder why it was there now. Guess I'll have to get out the flashlight and inspect that area a little harder. I never noticed anything around the fender that looks like repair and it was never on a Carfax. And yes, I know, Carfax only gets what's reported lol. Thanks again all.

I personally wouldn't be too concerned with having PDR on the car. That is generally the result of some minor issues like a door ding. I had someone ding my fender with their door and had PDR fix it (wife didn't know why I did it because it was so minor, but it bothered me). After completion, you cannot tell it ever happened.

Since you found that punch in the engine compartment, I'd suspect the hood was worked on and if the PDR guy/gal was good, you'd never know they were there.
Have you had any HAIL storms in the past few years..??

Well this is Texas and hail is a fact of life here, so I'd bet it's had to see some at one time or another.
