Hello, new to the forum and not currently a SHO owner however I’m in the market for one as my next vehicle. Looking specifically for a DA package with MCS so I’ve limited myself pretty heavily but the right one will come along eventually.

Anyways, when the right one comes along I’ll properly introduce myself, just didn’t want to be a registered user and continue to be a forum creeper lol.

Alright, I finally picked one up! I got a grey 2013 DA with 80,000 and a pretty detailed service history. I’ve been driving it around for a week now and I love it except for the sync 2.

Does anyone have a go to for the sync 3 package? Also current plans are the GH tune package, I’d do turbos and pump but I’m stuck with crappy AZ fuel until I relocate so it might not be worth it. I had a lot of problems tuning my Sti with an fp red on our “91” compared to wyomings 91. Also I want to add lane assist, already ordered a mirror and have the cable.

the sync 3 is a cheap shoot. many sources including vendors on Amazon bought 'lots' of recalled sync 3 that were recalled from Ford including eBay.

@SM105K can help with the AZ gas, but he will tell you to run e30. get ready to upgrade the fuel system over turbos first.

Arizona has craptastic gas. But you can still make decent power. However, a good tune from AJP or Gearhead will be fine with 91 octane. All of my personal high performance turbo cars run on E30 but they are not daily drivers. My Focus ST is my daily, and it runs on Shell or Chevron 87 octane and it has 195k miles on it. It is stock, and I don't beat on it.

Some dude wrote a pretty good guide that will tell you all about these cars, and he did it all while baking to death in the AZ heat.

lol! That’s very detailed, nice to have something relatable in terms of climate. I miss living in a small town with 3 different gas stations with e85 and 93 at just about every other station….. that and boost weather.

We do have plenty of E85 and E54 stations here in the Valley so that isn't a problem if you were to go that route. Also about 7 months of the year we have great boost weather. It is just the summers that are rough, and the primary reason I go E30 on my big boost cars.

Yeah, the closest one to me is a little bit of a drive from me. I’m in the Peoria area and I think it’s about 20min away. Might have to invest in a tank and pump lol.
