It cranks but doesn't turn over?? I don't understand what you mean

Did it run before you started replacing things?
Did you gap the crankshaft sensor correctly?
Does your fuel pump prime?
Do you have fuel pressure at the rails?
From what I have read the cam sensor will not keep the car from starting, only make it run like crap

The car just cranks never starts. No it didnt run before didnt crank or click at all froze up starter and the ignition switch was having issues where is would stall and wouldnt start up so i put a new crank sensor to fix that. Fuel pump does prime dont know if it has pressure at the rails dont have anything to test that. Yes i did gap it .03mm. I have eliminated the cam sensor because i just ended up replacing it anyways (did that today). If i get home early enough i will try and run the codes. Turning over means actually starting up.

Gap should be .03 inches, or .76 mm

Does the CE light go out while cranking the car? Did you check the spark plug wire order? To check for fuel pressure on the rails remove the schaeder valve cap and put a rag over it and press down on the center of it with a pen. You should get some fuel coming out, better on the rag then your eyes. :)
And did you verify that you had spark?

My bad i meant .03 inches. I will check fuel pressure and codes tomorrow dont remember about the check engine light but i'll check that too. Will also check for spark the plug wires were never removed so they are in the same order as before i even started the work so that not the issue. Thanks again for the replies.

Well you said that it's never started... I'd assume, that's since you've taken possesion of the car. So the plug wires are probably on right, but it wouldn't hurt to take the 1 minute to trace them out and double check. The plug order on the coil pack is listed wrong in some of the service manuals so it's worth checking it against the correct order!

I've had the car a year and I have been driving it. I said it hasnt started since the starter went out and I started the task of replacing the starter cps and timing belt which was about 3 to 4 months ago. So it hasnt been started in 3 to 4 months but ran before the starter went out. My cps was acting up where is would stall and not start after the stall so I figured since I have another vehicle I'll just replace a few things.

As stated before verify you have spark up to the plugs.

I would double check your timing...

Does your tach move when you crank the car?

Tried to just start today weather not cooperating. But I did look and tach does not move while cranking i'm pretty sure i got pressure cause i'm getting a gas smell after i've cranked it a few times. This is making me think I'm not getting any spark. What should I look at as reasons for no spark?? Wires are in correct firing order plugs are 5 months old only driven on 2 months. Ignition switch new. I'm thinking when my starter fried it fried half my electrical system. My ignition switch had one of the pins looked shorted out had a little black burnt area on the side of it.

transmissioning

my car does the same, i have to place the clutch just right so i was thinking maybe my clutch.

it turns and turns and then u let off the clutch and nothing or
it turns and turns you let out the clutch just a little and give it gas and it starts up

and before that happened it used to be turn the key and just spring the clutch quick and it starts right up

CPS gives the ignition signal IIRC. That would be where I would start...retrace your steps...verifiy you plugged back in everything u unplugged, timing is correct, and the cps gap is correct. A compression test would verify you have timing correct.

Its a 94 and I did a search and found that out its like that cause I cant start it to bring up to nominal temp to run codes. Does anyone know a way to check the computer I'm at the point now where i want to make dang sure the next thing I replace it gonna fix it. Been working on it too much feels like i made no progress gonna try this weekend to check for spark. Also if my computer is bad and i get no spark would i be able to push start it cause i'm thinking about trying that this weekend too and just see what happens might eliminate a few things if it runs that way.

Hey guys I'm kinda confused (imagine that), wouldn't the DIS be a suspect component if it turns out that there is no spark?

Bear with me, I'm learning...

No Spark

Well got a chance to check for spark dont got any. So far I have a new Crank sensor and a new Camshaft sensor, new ignition switch, new starter, and new timing belt correctly installed. And after that I have no spark before replacing these items I was able to push start it would that indicate I had spark before now after replacing those items all not nessesarily bad spark is no more is there something else I need to replace or check. Double checked all connection and check ground on intake all good. Only codes I get are 114 and 116 since it wont start I cant get it up to temp. ANY HELP PLEASE havent driven my car in almost 4 months now. any thoughts
DIS?
COIL PACK?
only 2 things I can think of left

Now Have Spark

Well I found a post that said I should clean all grounds on intake so I wirebrushed all grounds reconnected everything and I now have spark but still doesnt start. Checked fuel pressure I'm at 30 psi cant check it while starting cause I have no one here to try and start it while I check so that figure is after the pump primes. Hope someone can get me closer so getting it start.

ANY IDEAS NOW
