So when i went to go to lunch today, my car made a short little turn over and as if a fuse blew, it stopped. I had full battery power and there was no noise when i would go to turn the key to the start position. So at the end of the day I looked over the whole starter system with all fuses included. I ended up having to push start my car to get home. When I got home I tried to jump the starter by connecting the two terminals, but nothing happened.

I went out, bought a new starter, installed it and still nothing. Now when I turn my key to the start position the fuel pump primes as if i had just turned it to the run position. I got out, tried to jump the new starter by the terminals and with the keys out of the car, I get the fuel pump priming, the interior door dinger "dinging" and the fan coming on. I have searched through the forums to try and figure this out and I have exhausted all of my knowledge of electrical systems. Help por favor

sounds a lot like what crapped out in my 87 F150.

best guess between me and another forum member was PCM, and I think I remember him describing your symptoms in one of his SHO's and it ended up being the PCM.

even with the ECU in theory being crapped out, wouldnt me jumping the two terminals on the starter have nothing to do with the CCRM type things? Its essentially just a really long circle of an electrical circuit

UPDATE: fix't!!! The comment of a bad ECU made me think back to a previous problem. Check your grounds! The ground strap that goes from the back of the motor to the firewall was bad. I re-made it and it started right up. Thank you SHOmethewayhome
