I have 93 atx and for a while every now and then the car wouldn't start. When this happens, the fuel pump won't prime, but normally if I'd come back and try later it would start. The car has been sitting the past few months due to overhauling a/c system and other things. It's gotten to the point where it won't start at all so I replaced the fuel pump thinking it was shot. Car still won't start and can't get the pump to prime. I pulled codes and Code 564 & 543. Is there a specific code in indicating the CCRM is bad? I know 543 is generic code if car stalls, but 564 relates to fan module which is also fuel pump control.

I definitely think its the CCRM, the car finally did start, but noticed my Fans kept spoiling up as if the car was running hot or had AC on. My car has F1DF-12B577-AA "J " CCRM, I found a CCRM F6DF-12B577-AA "J" . I'm curious if there is a difference between F1DF & F6DF and could I use the F6DF one.

CCRM stuff is kind of a religious topic at times, some people say you can mix-n-match em with no ill effects and others say no, can't do that. It's been several years (5-7) since I last seriously looked at this stuff, but my current memory says the J, M, T, R, WHATEVER markings are what's important, not the Ford ID number. Yours begins with F1, which means the part was designed in 1991 for 1991+ applications. The F6 designation means it's a 1996-designed part, there was something different about it from the previous variant (which could have been physical mounting mechanism changes).

I would look on shosource.com and see what they're offering, but my gut feeling says you'd be OK FWIW.

Parts often get superceding numbers. Is the CCRM from an atx SHO? If so then the J code should be correct replacement. This is just off of memory so you should double check with a ford parts person to verify so you don't waste time & $$.

The "J" code ccrm are interchangeable regardless of the part numbers in my experience. The J codes were used for several more years on Ford automatic trans vehicles before they figured out they needed individually replaceable relays in the fuse box.
