The v8 sound is very therapeutic. I've never been in one first hand, but saw a drag race where the camera was in the sho that beat a lightening. The sound reminds me of an old school arcade driving game. I can't remember the name of it, but it was the one with a 5 speed, clutch, 3 monitor display, and had all sorts of stunts like loops and jumps. I think it was called stunt driver. The sho v8 sounds just like the engine in that game. Pretty cool if you ask me.pbshow:
I agree David, the V8 sound is oh so sweet!

This whole rasp thing bothers me. I don't know what the word rasp means. www.dictionary.com defines rasp as a hard scraping sound. My sho doesn't sound like that. I'll admit that my stock mufflers do kinda suck with the cams and ypipe. The v6 with cams and the performance plus ypipe with cats has a nice tone to it in all ranges. That's just my opinion though.dkautumna:
maybe so... but not by much. The v8 sound is definitely worth it thumb ... beats the v6 rasp![]()
Maybe if the performance aftermarket was up to the v6 aftermarket, the v8 would stand a chance. Unfortunately its not. Why is the v8 aftermarket a lot weaker? Not as many numbers made? Cam problems?dkautumna:

Yeah!!! It was called "Stunts" and it rocked. That was an old school classic that no-one remebers! except maybe us? thumbThe sound reminds me of an old school arcade driving game. I have a copy of that game in my desk here. Its on a 3.55' floppy disk. Some people wouldn't know what that is.
PS: My mufflers sound pretty sweet on my gen 1, "raspy" just means that I'm passing you! wink
