I disconnected the fuel line at the engine, jumped the fuel pump from the diagnostic connection, and got a pencil thick stream of fuel.

But still no pressure at the shrader valve. (The tester is OK I get 38 pounds on my son's SHO.)

Fuel pump is getting electricity and is pumping, but no pressure.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

(Fuel pump and filter are 2 months old.)

The pintle sits a little low in the schrader valve housing, your tester may not be going down far enough to contact it. If you are getting a good stream of fuel I would try the pressure tester again, screwed down a little farther.

When I stick an awl on the pintle I get a few bubbles. (on my son's SHO I get quite a blast when i depress the schrader)

The car will not start. A little sputter that's all.

My 2 month old fuel pump was a Carter P74117.

PartAmerica lists a Carter P74093.

Anybody know who is correct?
