i kinda started to lean towards nitrous. i would like some info on which brand and how much to spray. im thinking no more than a 75 shot. i dont want to do a rebuild for being stupid. its totally stock but got a catback on it. all maintance is done, everything is in very good condition. other than a leaky coolant line. but no biggy. thanks any comment would help.

The Zex kit is common and will run you typically about $550. It's an easy install and automatically bumps fuel pressure for you. Some are also using the NOS EFI kit which is another good alternative. Really any brand is going to get the job done; just make sure you follow some basic guidelines:

- No more than a 75 shot
- MUST be a dry shot
- For the sake of convenience it's best to get at least a 10lb bottle (The Zex kit we sell has a 10lb bottle for reference)
- Have fun! :)

Plumbing it in is a no-brainer with the Zex kit. You run a line from the bottle in the trunk to the solenoid under the hood and then another line from the solenoid to the intake. There's also a couple vacuum lines to run.

Wiring for the basic kit is easy too. Just your basic positives and grounds and a 1 wire hookup to the throttle position sensor which activates the nitrous at wide open throttle. You can easily accomplish all of this in one day. If you add a bottle warmer, remote pressure gauge, etc then it may take longer.

To really see the gains at the track you'll need some very sticky tires like drag radials or slicks. Street tires will just go up in smoke with a 75 shot. My guess is that you should gain about 3/4 or a second and 5-6mph.

So you went to the track already and are running mid to low 14's?
Didn't you just say in another post that you hadn't gone to the track and that what you were GUESSING that you would run?

If you were running mid 14's currently you should be able to hit the 13's with some drag radials.

The Zex installation is a no brainer...just make sure you read and do the part about setting up the NMU for WOT.
