Sorry to be a complete "Newb" PITA folks....But can anyone advise a good source for buying the Factory Service Manuals for the '13 SHO? I see some on Ebay, but they seem awfully inexpensive for an FSM. Any help appreciated!

I bought a CD on eBay for my 2010 and it's great. It was $10 and I was skeptical but figured it was just $10. It works just as I expected.

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply! I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking at is the one you have. Is it just a bunch of PDF's or is it a "real" shop manual with parts catalog, wiring diagrams, etc; and searchable?

Thanks,
Carl

This is what it looks like when I start it up.

It's a CD and you have to install a program to the computer. Then that CD has to be in the drive in order to access the program. It has all the descriptions, install/removal, and wiring diagrams.

I pretty much only use it for a quick overview of the install/removal steps to get an idea. For example, I just found my rear turbo is leaking oil and I need to replace the supply line seal. Reading through gives me an idea or what they would do. But I'm hoping that I don't have to remove the front subframe like it states. I'm hoping to work around it somehow.

I've purchased FSM's of auction sites and all the one's I've received have been the full FSM, not just PDFs. You install the DVD and must have the DVD in the drive when accessing the data. In a few cases though, the DVD requires setting the system date to some time in the past to get the DVD to run.

Thank you both, Rod and SilverSHO! That is the product I just ordered. Looks pretty much like the manuals I use on the Jets I work on, and is EXACTLY what I want.

SilverSHO, sorry to hear about your turbo buddy! I sure hope you can find a workaround other than pulling the front subframe. While I have no idea what that involves exactly, It SOUNDS like a PITA. From what I've seen so far, most of us here are gearheads and are pretty innovative when it comes to workarounds or alternative ways to accomplish a task. I know from lots of experience on aircraft that there's more than one way to skin a cat, though sometimes we MUST go "by the book". At least with good documentation, we're not flying blind and can come up with alternatives that won't destroy things!

Thanks again for the help!

That is exactly what I did... and I can tell you for certain that it's 100% the same thing used a Ford Dealerships. You can buy it for $170 from the software company that produces it for Ford (Helm, Inc.) or you can buy it for $10 on eBay. The $10 eBay versions are the same, they are simply pirated. So, word to the wary.
