Hi folks, another new SHO owner here. Drove a new 2016 off the lot last Tuesday. I had started looking for a new car, not sure what I wanted, somehow the SHO came across my radar. Took the wife to test drive a Mazda 6 stick (I like Mazda a lot, but they need to shove that power plant up some exec's bum). Told her we were going to drive a Taurus next. The look I got (when did you become a grandpa?). She came around. So beat the dealer bushes looking for a new 16 still on the lot and a dealer looking to cut losses. Found one and was out the door with a 401a and driver assist package for 35.3. Feel pretty good about that. Car has more sensors than the NSA. Only had 78 miles on it, must have had only a handful of test drives.

Looking forward to lots of years of fun. Last fast car i had was a 91 BMW 535i stick with Dynan chip (topped at 145). Love seeing all the tuners and enthusiasts.

Wow, 35.3K, that dealer must have been worried. It's a 2016 leftover, but still. That's a steal. Good luck with it :)
I was/am pretty excited. First car I have loved for a long time. Will be a long term keeper. Changed the oil to amsoil as soon as I could since I figured oil was factory. Washed, clayed, and waxed it on a nice cool and cloudy day today. Waiting to get through the break in period before really checking it out.

Nice to see the enthusiasm for SHO's continuing on......

I've loved mine since I laid eyes on her, and 7yrs later, that same infatuation has never once waned/dissipated.

I got a hearty laugh out of the Wife's "grandpa" comment. Little does she know. I know you'll convince her otherwise.

Long term keeper here as well. Enjoy!

I got her to drive it some. We swap cars routinely as I need her cx9 to tow stuff. Got her to set her seat up. It won't be long before she changes my memory seat to mess with me. She's like that. She's a big fan of power, not sure I'll be able to get it back from her very often.

Will be good fun!

That's one reason I bought an Ecoboost Flex for my daughter. If I ever need something to tow with or haul larger loads, I can borrow her Flex and miss nothing. (Also has Adaptive Cruise. :) )

I lived in Austin for 10 years, first time I got tinted windows. Now I have no idea why you wouldn't. Am also getting the clear uv filter for the front. No idea how they make that stuff work with inspection stickers, but they seem to have it sussed.

You'll love the look with tint. Has anyone added rain guards?

If you are referring to Rain Guard as the Vent Visors for the side windows....YES. Strong Recommendation and pay a little extra to start with. Get the Weather Tech I believe around $100 for the set of four. Leave installed and windows up for approximately 48 hours even though they say 24. If you already have tint it should be fine. Weather tech are thin enough to slide in the window channel and still get windows closed. They will break into the mold after a few weeks. The In channel type are exactly that goes inside the window frame and in my honest opinion makes it look like OEM. I ordered the Ford OEM deflector for the Moon Roof. Hint the package comes marked as 2010-2012 Fusion which is the same deflector, the moonroof deflector goes by moonroof width not vehicle specific. The OEM moon roof deflector is fairly easy to mount, simple J hook bracket that goes into the frame the tab has mounting screw and retaining bolt. Two people are preferred but can be done with one.....ask me how I know. If you need photos send me pm with email address.
