I need some new lug nuts as mine are getting nasty looking. That and I screwed up a couple with my electric impact wrench.

I already tried searching V8sho.com and shotimes as well as the forums but I haven't found the info I need. I seem to remember reading somewhere that they are 12mm x 1.5" or is it 1.25" ??

Is there anything else I need to know?

And what exactly is a tuner lug nut? Is it just narrower?

Not sure what the lug size is, but my parts store was able to look it up no problem. 63.9 is the center hole size on the wheel for the hub.

I tried to get new lugs also, but the lugs that my parts store had, along with pep boys were too short. On the slicers, the lugs didn't stick out enough to get good engagement in the socket. Also the lug studs were too long then to use the factory tire iron, and using a deep well socket wiggled too much and started to round over the corners. I went to the JY and got a handful of nuts from cars there. The T-bird happens to have the same lug nuts FWIW.

I have some McGaurd locking lug nuts, they are way bigger than the stock but they are nicely polished and look good with my American Racing Avenger rims. I think they also make non-polished lug nuts also.

OH you didn't know
Thread pitch on the lugs are 12x1.5. You need to use an open ended lug/wheel lock so that the centercap fits.

He's got a GEN III guys, the lugs are different. Acorn style chrome lugs.

Go to the parts store and be very specific about what you have. Best is to remove one in the parking lot and hand it to them to match up. Cost 2 or 3 bucks a piece.

If you want them for the GEN 3 then just order some from FPN. About $2 US each.
