Okay very cool!! So does your tuner have the display that you can setup on the dash with an lcd screen and it shows gauges? Or is it a handheld that once you reflash you stick it in the trunk and forget about it (like my SCT)? Can it connect via android?

If you go LME route, you'd need a 3rd party app like Torque to display the gauges. Most guys with Unleashed/SCT go this route anyways, as it's way more customizable than the SCT.

Thanks for the info on the Torque app, I will look into that. I have a handheld for my Mustang...(SCT) which goes in the trunk for storage. I never knew I could use an app with SCT. I learn something everyday! 
The Torque Pro app ($5) runs on Android devices and is independent of the tuning device you use. All it does is query the PCM via the OBD-II port using a Bluetooth or Wifi adapter to communicate. No 3rd party app we know of pulls anything from either SCT or Livernois tuners. They are both proprietary devices.
yeah, when they updated the forum it got changed from "PM" to "conversation" but we still call it "pm" And, fwiw, I recommend that you change your user settings to keep your conversations private, otherwise everyone can read them just like a post.
Can't you still get the SCT program that allows you to datalog with the SCT devices? As far as I know that is still available and free to use with SCT tuners. I have the ProRacer s/w so I can do all that, but it is like $300 plus the tuner.
Correct. LiveLink (freely downloadable SCT software) will log from the SCT device. You will need a Windows device to go with, does not work on Apple/Android. The graphing capabilities are negligible on the X4; the Livewire & TSX are better, but still restrictive in scope.
Where LiveLink excels is having the high refresh rates of the attached SCT device. Torque Pro is limited to 0.1 sec refreshes, SCT can log at 0.01 sec (or better) intervals.
I believe the MyCal can datalog, no idea how the owner would do it. Jaimie can better answer on that subject.
If using very fast refreshes, use the minimum number of parameters necessary, no more than 30 or so, to keep the load down on the PCM and the OBD port.

It is a flashing tool. We do not provide gauges and all that simply because you cannot adjust any of the inaccurate information. Let's take the all too often spoken of Air Fuel Ratio. This is something that everyone wants to look at while driving, mind you...you should be driving...but that is neither here nor there.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Anyone taking the native values and recalculating them into something else that gives a chance for things to be miscalculated. This is the biggest issues we see with data logging or tune monitoring. If someone looks at AFR on a monitoring device, that value is already calculated. But the issue is what conversion are they using? 14.64? 14.08? something else? Now, what about what is in your tank. If they are assuming e10, and you have something more like e6, that instantly makes the applied conversion incorrect. Then, what if they aren't grabbing the right data point from the ECM to log it? What if they are grabbing one with an offset already added in? or a delay? or a commanded VS actual average?
You can see where one simple item like "AFR" is all of a sudden riddled with chances of incorrect data being displayed and/or gathered. Now, we haven't even started talking about boost, or any other myriad of items that could be logged. You see, the Data points that almost all dataloggers use are SAE. Now, SAE standards are nice, BUT they are not designed for someone to do calibration from. They are for repair shops to help diagnose issues with vehicles. So, the level of precision, and refresh rate is not what's needed to do proper calibration development. If you are using a data point with a 200ms refresh rate, but the actual value in the ECM refreshes every 8ms, then the ECM is updating 50x more frequently then what you are watching. Again, you start to see where the issues happen and it's easier to understand why we do not treat the EcoBoost like any other engine before it. Can someone get lucky and eventually end up with a tune that works by looking at the wrong data? Absolutely. Can they repeat those results over and over again without starting from scratch each time? Usually not. And it all stems from having the right knowledge, and data in the first place.
To make it a little easier to picture for most people. If Ford, GM, Chrysler, or any auto manufacturer could spend $30-50 on hardware to datalog and do calibration, why don't they? The answer is simple, you can't, it takes 10's of Thousands of dollars to have the right hardware just for the process to begin. Sorry for the super long and drawn out explanation, but I know that you are new to the community. So I wanted to make sure that I went the extra mile to explain it thoroughly.

The current version MyCal will not log for the above reasons I posted.

Is there no blackbox/engineering mode for it that can be activated by LME? Then the "log" could be uploaded to the server for analysis?

I really don't need the datalog or anything, I've just seen videos or friends (an ex-boyfriend with his Jeep Wrangler) that had the LCD screen with gauges. I guess it does come in handy that it can ready check-engine codes, again though, never needed that on my Mustang either.
This is all tons of info.
So let me ask this regarding the LME package. I am pretty much thinking 3bar Map, plugs, 160 thermostat and the tune. Is the air intake going to net me anything? Not interested in a better "engine sound" but more performance. With one, can you tell a difference with above mentioned parts?

Our MyCal device can read and clear codes if any should arise. Simply plug it in, and it automatically checks for any DTC's. From there you can either view them (if you have a Check Engine Light (CEL)), or you can clear them to proceed to tune your car.
The new cold air will add about ~15 in that setup. The bonus to purchasing like that is that we offer a tuner package with:

Buying used, is there anything simple to look for (on or in the car) to know if I have the Performance Package? I didn't get the original window sticker...although it was a Certified Pre-Owned at a Ford Dealership. I am inclined to think it is not a PP... but not sure why I think that.
