New CPS and SHO no go

The CEL has not come on yet.When she cools I'll take her for a ride and see if I can get the CEL to come on.I changed the fuel filter 1 week ago but I'm sure the fuel pump is original.

I believe your "33" code may have actually been "111" shown twice, which would indicate all is well with the EEC.

136 Oxygen sensor not switching/system lean Left or Front HO2S

176 Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean Left or Front HO2S

215 Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 1

216 Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 2

217 Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 3

543 Fuel pump monitor circuit shows no power
(Service 556 code first if present) Fuel pump relay or battery power feed was open


Are you having fun yet?

Ignore the oxygen sensor codes for now. You want to look at the coil codes. Are you sure that the intake crossover tube bolts are tight? Are you sure that the ground strap that goes to the back of the intake is tight? This reaks of a bad or loose ground. It's not a big problem, you just have to track it down.

Ignore the 543. It just means that the car stalled.

1. PIP to Controll unit

2. SPOUT to DIS Module

3. IDM to Control Unit

4. CID at sensor, and

5. Coil PWR

The steps to do these tests are listed in detail, including what wire to "back probe" and what results are to be expected. rangerj

i just reread your initial post WHAT ADHESIVE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??????? eek!
are you talking about the white lithium grease that helps with the ground of the DIS??????
this is a must here. if you do not replace the grerase it WILL BURN OUT THE DIS.
ALWAYS REPLACE THE GREASE.

Sorry guys Sunday is a day for rest cheers ....... and SKYDIVING. thumb SO no work on the SHO today,except I did run the tests that rangerj recomended,all but the last one,the coil,I could'nt figure it out.The other three were good,but the car was cold.Try it again Monday with it hot.Oh and I do have white lithium on the DIS. AND NO WERE NOT HAVING FUN YET

Thanks guys the SHO is back! Mike Kopstain was right again hail ,bad grounds.I pulled the DIS and coil to have them checked out and while I had them out I cleaned all the mounting surfaces.After they checked OK I cleaned the surfaces at the ground strap and BINGO! no more stalling! whooda thunk? shrug Thanks Mike hail thumb finger

How can I clean the mounting surface of the DIS? I have similar problems and I pulled off my DIS and its not very clean. I have replaced my CPS, fuel filter, plugs and wires, and cleaned all of the grounds. I want to try this now.

3 DIS,I removed this sensor and when I installed it the lower 2 screws were stripped and I didn't use any adhiesive(do I need any?)it looked like it had some on it before. Please help and Thank You!

There's your problem. I'm surprised others have not mentioned it.

The lower 2 screw on the DIS are the ignition system ground. Not connecting those is going to make spark a problem.
