This is my Town Car's runs. You can see where I marked a head to head with the SHO. Not his best time of the night...

Its been a long day and I'm a little woozy so when I saw the first pic my first thought was "What happened to that SHO and why are they pulling it out of the water??" I then realized what was going on.

I finally got some pics up on my site, last night I also got to weigh in the car. Pretty interesting on how ballanced the car is.

Nice SHO. That's pretty sweet that you have pics of the car being built. Not many people can say that because typically you're not allowed to take pics in the factories (proprietary processes and stuff could be going on).

Just out of curiosity, what's the visibility like out the back and over the shoulder? I drove a new Fusion last year and hated it because I couldn't see JACK over my left shoulder. I usually check my mirrors and then look back for a quick peek outa habit. Any feedback there?

Chris K.

I can tell you it's much worse than the Fusion, unfortunetly. The new "4-door coupe", sloped rear window design is in style and it makes for very poor rear visibility. I think one of the back up assist options (rear radar or back up camera or BLIS) should be standard on all Taurii because it's so bad.

When I got to drive one, there was a 2010 Mustang GT parked about 4 ft behind me bumper to bumper and from the SHO's driver's seat looking through the rear view mirror all I could see was the roof of the Mustang! Not even any part of the windshield, just a slit of Grabber Blue peaking over the SHO's spoiler. If you had one of the back up sensor options, it's not too bad, but still a little frightening when you back up having to trust electronics.

Motortrend says 5.2 -60 and 13.7 1/4 mile and thats not even the 12s package.

This sounded fishy to me because everything I've read so far has non-12S SHO's running low 14's in the 1/4 and 12S ones running 13.7-13.8 sec in the 1320ft, so I had to double check. That Motortrend test was with the 12s package (Linky). Still quick though. It pretty much matches a 2010 Mustang GT (for this year at least;)).
