Since we know you have an open diff that probably means that you still weren't close to the grip limit of the tires, or you're not getting much torque to the wheels, or both. It's something you're not likely to see in typical street driving unless traction is real low due to rain, snow or whatever.

Like I said, not a true test.

lets go for a ride in my car then you tell me if i need a quaife :burnout: . I think your expierence is exactly why I would have such a hard time getting quaife to make a diff for the ATX. they simply don't have enough power to need one. or atleast the majority of them don't. I rember at the 1/4 mile track when i would do a burnout the right wheel would spin then at the line the left one would spin :( what the **** do i do about that? that was before the turbo though to so it would struggle to spin one tire.

The problem is to get 25 people commited to buy the diff. Good luck.
that is the problem. I would be one and if there were 5 people in i would be amazed getting 25 would be extremely difficult. I can't believe how much bigger the MTX diff is over the ATX.

I spin both tires . I've never done a 1 wheel peel. Um, torque isn't my problem...seriously. While not as much as Alex, it's not a problem. I think I just make it higher up in the powerband, thanks to my stage 2 cams. I don't know, maybe I have a freaky ATX.

"Doesn't Doug Lewis do a differential for the ATX?"

Nope. I wish.

There were some Phantom grip units that worked OK in the ATX cars, but given their failure rates on the ATX cars, I'm hesitant to offer them in the ATX flavors.

FWIW, Jason has one in his car (makes 330hp) and it's doing fine.

Jasons car already shit out the trans, the alt and now is having electrical issues after haing the trans redone in Texas since it left Atlanta.

You might consider not getting your information from bathroom walls. The Texas contingent of Kirk Worshipers has yet again given you mis-information.

How embarrassing for you.

You've got the man's number, call him directly.

Jason is KaoticSHO on this list.

We built his '93 SHO ATX with a 3.3L low compression engine, proted heads, 3.0L cams, shaft driven supercharger, complete suspension system with Koni, Eibach, our Original Aluminum Subframe Bushings, our Original Aluminum Rear Control Arms, Bear 13" brakes, stainless lines, our Original Subframe Connectors and big sway bars.

The car put 330 to the tires. Oh yeah, did I mention that it's an automatic?
