Greetings and Hello!

Just registered to to what seems to be the most informative BB I have seen yet, lots of responses and general all-around friendly sharing of knowledge. That alone says all I need to know, so I am Glad To Be Here! :)

Ok, now that I've made this post sound like a "meeting"... I'll get to my details:

I am an 13+ yr. ASE Auto Tech, with about 6 yrs. time in at various Ford dealers, and am also Ford Electrical Certified.

What I need to know is: I just recently purchased a Factory CD Add-On In-Dash unit, along with the Grey jumper cable (with the 6-conductor plugs on each end) and the Ground jumper as well. I connected the unit to my system just as seemed as it should be connected. Of course, the Tuner/Deck still works fine, but no power or anything else at the CD player. Well, the problem here I think is obvious....I have connected nothing to the flat, rectangular connector near the bottom of the CD Player. I feel that something should connect there, but honestly I am not for sure. If something does connect there (like a power connector...duh to myself...lol), where is it located, and if it isn't present, does anyone have a EVTM Manual with the connector pinout diagrams and connection points for these wires that they can send me a copy of? I know I can make a decent plug for this, but I just don't have any info on it. And if there is a connector present, does anyone have a suggestion of a location to find it? I would consider purchasing one from someone also, if available.

I know I should have looked for the connector while installing it, but it was raining out, and has just now stopped after 3 day straight. Just figured I'd ask, seems a lot of you have had experience with this, and I am one to ask if I don't know, rather than act as if I do know, and make something "smoke" in the process...lol :D

Ok, that's it...I'll end this Loooong post now. Thanks in advance to all who read this, and especially to those who can possibly give any answer to this. Have a Great Day!!! wink

Ok, ok....News Flash to Self: Try using the search function on this board, is there for reasons other than to look pretty! DuH??? shrug lol

I have the part number for the 3-connector harness, and will "try" to find one, Thanks to all for the info in the former posts, namely SW SHO and DeaconBlue!

But still, I would like to know/have the pinout info for the 3 connectors, if anyone has an EVTM manual that includes this system. A benefit I found working at dealerships is that when parts are replaced under warranty, they are held until Ford either sends the info for them to be shipped back to their HQ offices, OR they send the dealer the "go-ahead" for them to toss the defective part in the garbage!!! eek!

Needless to say, a lot of "garbage" made it's way home to my house.... :D SO, I may just have an ample supply of connectors to make this harness, provided I can get the proper wiring info.

And I would still much appreciate if anyone can please give me any recent info on where I can obtain the jumper harness also, in case I can't make one.

Thanks again to all who read this, and Have a Great Day!!! wink
