I just replaced the t-stat and while I was right there I cleaned up the coil pack, the connections, and the wire ends. I put it all back together and now it doesn't run right. I get some backfiring and it just runs rough... I assume my wiring order is correct on the coil pack. I've got them plugged in as follows: from front to back on the right side of the pack, 1,2,3.. then from back to front on the left side 6,5,4. When I say back and front i'm talking about the relation to the car. I also rinsed a spot, underneath the throttle body with some water, after some coolant leaked down there, is there a sensor or something that could cause misfiring if it got wet? Help

It sounds like you reconnected the wires out of sequence. Check the correct sequence below. If that doesn't restore it to normal, be aware that any water around the secondary ignition system (coil pack, wires and plugs) is a possible low resistance path to ground. Could you have gotten any water in the plug wells? How old are the plug wires on the engine? Broken down insulation can certainly show up around moisture.

Once again... Your knowledge is greatly appreciated! I had the wires connected in the wrong order

What is that? I'm assuming it is to avoid 'rinsing' your engine?
