If you take your light bar/grill/bumper cover/bumper off, you get much easier access to the engine for all the wiring hookup and stuff, since you don't need to lean over it all. Only takes 20 minutes or so to do, I think it's worth it.

Engine is in. Continued Welding my up pipe and its about 75% done. im STILL waiting on the order i placed at RCM over a month ago now... as soon as that order gets here i can do my valve lash ( i need the tools) and close up the top end of the engine.

On another note, i hooked up my old clutch cable to the fork and holy shit is the CM3 ever stiff compared to my stock one lol. i like it though, i never did like the smooshy engagement of the stock clutch.

tomorrow i will finish up the up pipe hopefully and mount the turbo to the transmission and maybe start on the downpipe.

Update...

Turbo is mounted and I also did the waste gate ****** today. Man i will tell you guys ima lucky man, i made the up pipe off the car with the engine on the stand without the intermediat shaft installed and it clears by like half an inch and where they merge clears by like half an inch as well, good thing my mounts are bolted now so it shouldent bump too much, i might grind some of the subframe just in case. heres some Pics!!!

Here my Up pipe, its not done and will look much nicer but it should flow nicely!

Here is the turbo, im not done the mount but its in there. as far as i know noone has mounted a turbo this way and i think it will work quite well. i know ht eexhaust manifold coming off the turbo is angles wrong but im taking that off and making my own ****** with a 3" piece coming off.

Holy big picture batman! If you made those pics a little smaller it would be a lot easier for us to see, but it looks good from what I can tell.:)

What do you think?

I THINK, that he is doing a ******* awesome job. Props to you Mitch Mitchal, I'll be watching this build and ansiously awaiting to see what kinda crazy numbers you bust out. Your turbo looks awesome :)

I wonder if you are going to run into tuning nightmares like I did?

Lookin good man. May just be the pic but it looks like you may have to trim the tab off the front of the MTX for up pipe clearance. I'm sure you are running into all kinds of surprises tho :) That's what makes it fun. Can't wait to see it run.
