My dad just moved to Phoenix...assistance wanted.

So my dad just moved to Phoenix on a whim. Long story that, out of respect for him, I'll hold back the details, but right now, he's looking for a job and some mode of transportation. The job, he's not too picky about. The wheels just needs working A/C. Anyone got anything for me to pass along to him?

If it helps, he's a 20 year retired Army Veteran...

he isnt an amputee is he? theres a guy that fits that discription living in my apt complex.

i give him money for cigs all the time. and anytime i'm outside working on my car or pulling in/out he talks my ear off. nice enough guy but the sheer volume of his talking gets to be too much for even me.

i kinda feel bad. wish i could help him out or point him in the right direction but... i got nothing. both of those things go hand and hand here in AZ, and are both essential to making it down here.

i got a friend of mine who's been dating a girl, and she hasn't had a job for almost a year (she can't drive, legally blind) she's going back home to Or on monday because she cant find a job and assumes (rightly so) that my friend is sick of A: paying her way, and B: her being up all night playing on facebook and myspace, and sleeping all day.

i'll keep a look out for a cheap ride. does he have any budget to speak of for wheels? or is he looking for something free?
