Our first SHO was a 1989 with the five speed. It was my wife's car and she loved the stick. After a number of years. A new clutch and some hard miles. It slowly began to fall apart and we traded it in when I needed a truck. A few years later, I found a 1995 SHO down in Arizona. I made the deal and flew down to drive it home. I almost made it home when the tranny began to act up. There was no indication of any problems during the test drive. Pulling out from my last fuel stop, first gear started slipping. I shifted to second and I was able to get the car home. Drove the car a few times after that, using second gear to pull out and then shifting back to automatic. I was traveling all the time for my job and never got back to fixing this car. I had to find a car for my wife and I found an nice Jaguar XJ6. We fell in love with this Jaguar.
Later I bought a donor 94 SHO to pirate some parts out for the 95 I brought back from Arizona. But I never got back to the car and ended up moving on from this SHO and it been sitting ever since.
A couple years ago a close friend saw the car and stated that he always wanted an SHO. I asked, "are you serious". He was, so I gave him the car and all the parts that I took from the donor car. He got the car running again and began to go through the car. He was pretty excited until they learned that his wife had Breast Cancer. He had to let the car go and gave it back to me rather then sell it He didn't think it was right to profit off the gift. So, I now have the 95 White SHO back in my driveway. Last year that friend was killed on the way to work when a deer jumped in front of his motorcycle. I've just been sitting on the car ever since. Just really bummed out about the entire thing.
