My 2010 Touras SHO Was towed back wheels down......

Hey everyone in abit a of a pickle, one of the turbos went on my 2010 SHO and i got it towed, and i very speacficly told then like three times it was AWD, and here it shows up being towed like a FWD car....., i need some help to look for what to fix and what parts to replace due to warrenty not helping, over all total nightmare any advice or tips would be appreactied

It definitely states in the manual flatbed or dollies with awd.
You can emergency tow completely flat(all 4 wheels on the ground in neutral) but CANNOT exceed 35 mph.

Ya i will look into it, i wont be albe to check for a while due to the the turbo spindel blew and started feeding my engine metal so i have to get that first to check

The rear diff clutch pack took all the heat on this one. The towing company is at fault, I'd start there.

These tow truck drivers don't know squat and don't care because it isn't their car. As the owner you must insist on a flatbed.

Are you saying the diff clutch pack is engaged with the engine off?

No, it's not engaged. But it's a "viscous coupling" sort of thing, and it never normally sees much difference between input and output speed. (There are various reports of the clutch pack being either wet or dry for certain models, SHO, SHO w/pp, Police, etc, and I'm not sure which is which, but overall, it's not a good thing to let one set of wheels spin for a long time).

It could be just fine, but I'd certainly let the towing company know it was done wrong.

Battery went dead and they towed the SHO with the front on the hook and dollies on the rear wheels. All wheels off of the ground. Worked just fine.

Just to be clear, warranty or ESP only covers "factory" defects. The tow company messing up is not a problem of Fords. You can report it to the customer relationship center and they may be more selective on who they ask to tow clients cars.

Uhhh....you can absolutely tow 4 down up to 65 mph for up to 6 hours at a time (then you have to run the engine for 5 minutes and resume towing). That's the only reason I bought the SHO....so I could tow it behind my motorhome. No special equipment required (**** pumps etc). You cannot tow the SHO on a dolly with only two wheels down, without damage. ALL WHEELS off the ground, or ALL FOUR on the ground.
