My 1992 Sho just began clicking on slow turns. After putting it up on jack stands nothing seemed loose and while turning the wheels hard to the left or right the sound was not there? Thanks for your response.

The CV joints on your front half shafts are probably worn out. Are any of the boots ripped?

On any front wheel drive car, clicking during a turn is almost always a bad CV joint, or one wearing out. If your boots are broken, you can just replace them, and that will usually fix it temporarily, but eventually you will have to replace the CV joint or joints that are making the noise.

The good news is that they don't cost a whole lot. You can usually get a rebuilt one for around $125. If you can't install it yourself, installation shouldn't be more than $50 or so.

Good Luck.

The left and right, A1 Cardone remanufatured CV halfshafts are $59.99 each with a lifetime warranty from O'Reilly. When a CV boot splits, it is cheaper (free) and much easier to replace the entire halfshaft than a simple torn boot. Cleaner too.

CV halfshaft, Left, A1 Cardone 60-2031, $59.99
CV halfshaft, Right, A1 Cardone 60-2034, $59.99

Well the bad news for me was it was not anything wrong with the front end cv shafts or any other suspension problems but is the steering box that is making the noise!
