mtx tranny woes

So here is my problem: i just put my 3.2 in a new body, with lower miles. The tranny i used is from this new body. Now my problem is shifting into 2,4,R. 1,3,5 go in real easy. But to hit the lower gears is a real stuggle. Any ideas?

not sure since i have never done anything like this. but my best guess would be that somewhere the rod needs to be adjusted, look at the point where it connects to the tranny. or possibly right under the shifter but doubt it. your sure the tranny worked fine before the swap right?

I changed the linkage, i dont think it is that. Also when i get it in 2 4 or R it is just as difficult to get it out.

Did you replace the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing?
