Just thought I would update this. Back in may I was getting 20mpg full hwy driving to the dragon after running the **** out of it on the way back I got 25mpg guess I cleaned a lot of crap out of the engine. Then I ran 93 octane 0% ethanol through the car for three or so tanks. Last weekend went back to the dragon I got 29mpg12 gallons 375 miles getting better mpg than my mothers miata which is only getting 23. The whole trip up I was going 80mph+ 3100rpms or so. Haven't calculated my mpg back as my catastrophic wheel bearing failure I haven't driven it. When it failed it took my 2 month old cv axle as well as the hub with it. Pretty grewsome cv axle grese is everywhere.
Wow, I wish my 93 ATX would do 25 or better. I have done all of the maintenance and changed out everything that I can think of. Running Champion plugs tho. But still up here in the NW we have to run 10% ethanol in our fuel. So that may be part of the problem. I drive 90 miles to the Coast every other week and my best mpg was 21. No codes either.
