well i finally got my new motor today..and im going to take off the intake runners and valve covers and take out the butterflies...can someone tell me what tools well be needed or post a link with a howto on it. thank you and wish me luck on modding the new motor

Standard metric socket set. And a hand impact screwdriver will be really helpful if you're planning on removing the butterflies from the actual housing

ok thank you very much. also another qestion. the motor i got is a 93 3.2 and my car is a 94 ATX i also have the wireing harness and the computer now will i have to swich out the computer since the motors are diffrent years or will a 94 computer be ok for the 93 motor i bought.

You really want that 94 D4U1 in any atx.

As for specific tools you will need a 10MM socket for the snakes to heads. 12MM short socket for the manifold supports, Throttle body, 22mm for rear gound strap. Pliers screw drivers for pulling off vac lines etc. 5mm allen head for the valve covers don't strip the heads makes it worse to get them out. 12mm wrench to take the tanks off the butterflies an impact screwdriver with a phillips to remove the canisters from the butterflies. A custom gound flat screw driver for taking the plates out

I prefer to leave the thottle body in and slide the intake away from it but it you've never done it before it will take two people one to move the TB out and one to lift and slide the mainfold out the passengerside.

ok thanks now i have the tool sizes. this should be a peice of cake the motor is out of the car so there a lot or room to work

and just so were clear dont use the 93 computer

use the 94 it shifts your trans better and its just overall better then the 93's

Yeah, since the last post before yours was over a YEAR ago, it's probably been resolved for a while now... :rolleyes:
