hey everyone, i just did a clutch job on my 89 sho. i got it running, but not well. it will take 1/4 throttle but anymore and it will die. but the bigger problem is i just put my new clutch in, and i dont know why, but i can let off the clutch pedal and nothing happens with it in any gear. I know it is low on gear oil, but I cant figure out how to refill it. Could anyone tell me where the filler for the gear oil is, or if you'd like to spend a day with me we can work on it haha. I'd like to address the moving problem and then get to why the engines running funky, thanks everyone. (FYI the engine can go up to 5,000 rpms)

Is your cable all there? There should be a bushing on it near the clutch fork and if it's missing, it'll give you a pedal feel like that.

yea the cable is good, i drove it in with my old clutch. I can feel the pedal vibrate as i let it out then when its out there is a very very very faint clinking noise and it feels like it wants to go but isnt.

#1. DO NOT USE GEAR OIL! Regular ATF is specified for the MTX.

#2. The fill hole is located on the front side of the MTX case (facing the radiator). It is a plug with a 3/8" square recess, about halfway up the side.

#3. Did you try to adjust the clutch cable at all? There is a self-adjusting mechanism on the pedal assembly. Pull up on the pedal and see if it makes any clicking noises.
