Hi all
The moon roof will close all but the last 1/2 inch. The wind deflector is not moving out of the way. I can use a something to push the wire that the window runs up on to close the wind deflector and the window will close correctly. Has anyone had an issue like this? Any ideas of how to fix?
Searched and could not find where anyone had the same issue
Thanks so much Keith

Figure out why the deflector won't go down easy. The sunroof motor will stop (I'm assuming) when it gets any resistance. If the deflector isn't going down easy, or there's some other reason the glass isn't moving easily enough, that's the issue.

Oh, and a low battery might cause the motor to be underpowered. Was this with the engine running?

On my Passat there was a way to override the pinch protection. Might want to check the owner's manual and see if the Taurus has a similar override. Might **** the mechanism and see if that helps.

There is a wire that is attached to the wind deflector. As the window closes it rolls on the wire pulling the wind deflector down out of the way. I can not see why it is not doing that on the one side

thanks for your help Keith
