I did a search and came up with nothing so....

I was wondering how long it takes for the moog CCs to break-in. I just installed them and my car is sitting pretty low as it is. I dont want them to sink much more than they are. I cut umm...2 hehe coils off. How much further are they gonna go?

Ive had my cut MOOGs on for more than 3 years and 40k miles now.

The rears have settled a little, a whopping 3/8 of an inch.

The fronts have remained how they were when they were first installed.

They do seem a bit softer, but that is probably attributed to the struts wearing in and wearing out as well.

I am VERY surprised that the Monroe Sensatrac struts have lasted this long. And they show no signs of failure. :oogle:

Well, now thinking about it. I hope the rear will settle just a little. I think this thing looks awesome now though! I love it

You also have your strut tab's modified, correct?

I have 1.5 out of the front of mine, and 1 out of the rear. Guess i need to go cut the tabs a bit. :naughty: My front isnt that low.... :oogle:

What struts are you running?

EDIT: pic-

How much of a drop did you get by modifying the strut tabs? I'd be happy with .5''. And thats about all i can spare till i get some 225/50's on the car, or a 16x7'' wheel in the 225/55's.

more rubber, more HP.....
I purchased a set of Moog CC's a couple months ago for my wife's car. I was surprised to find that the coils are thinner by about 1mm, compared to a set of Moogs I had bought a year ago.

Once installed, they settled an additional 1/4" within a few days. The ride is also noticeably softer than the stouter Moogs of old.

Front, 3/8 of an inch MAX.

Rears, as much as youd want. You can also RAISE the strut in the knuckle is the rears if you want.:naughty:

Do you have the part numbers handy for reference?

Once I have part numbers, Ill submit this to my MOOG CC page. If you case is not an isolated one, we might have a problem! :oogle:

cc839 / cc858. These are the same ones I usually get. I will go measure the coil thickness of new vs. old. Be back in a bit.
