Honestly I don't know why the turbo did not spin the first startup. We ran it a few times before we jacked it back on and I believe the 2nd time it started spinning. It would not rev because of the torque converter bolts being loose because after they got tightened up it ran nice...smoked from a few minor leaks in the welds but ran good. I need to get an air/fuel gauge on it. Good news for me is hey, I got new bearings

Faulty oil pan gasket caused the leak  I got it registered today because knock on wood I should be able to drive it (short distances) this weekend.

UPDATE: 1/1/05...It runs good enough to drive it down the street and run it out of 7 gallons of gas. I have it sitting in the driveway and the 92 SHO in the garage now  Alittle bouncy with no rear shocks yet and I definitly need to tune this puppy...I wish I was as rich as the car is. :nut:

Since I had Sunday to play around...I did. I took the old turbo off the Supra and looked again at the "new" one I just bought. Uh-oh...different exaust housings, different waste gate, well everything but the turbo was different. Great...now I get to mix and match pieces. I disassembled the new one down to the wheel and checked it over...looks great. I then took apart the old one and wow, this thing is shot. So I aligned the new turbo onto the old housing but wait...hmmm...the wastegate will not line up. So 10 minutes worth or fabbing fixed that. Looks good, time to reinstall. If you haven't seen the pics of where the turbo is mounted, it is on the drivers side between the front air dam and the inner fenderwell. I can have the turbo off the car in less than 10 minutes...same for reinstallation. All looked good as I reconnected the battery. She RUNS! Again! I pulled the intercooler piping off the turbo and no oil. A quick trip around the block a few times show that the stalling problem has been beaten. I can't wait to tune this puppy and take it to the track...

Wow its been awhile since I have done work to this car. Darn SHOs take up all my time and money now :)

On occasion I do drive this car a mile or so without rear shocks and a front track bar :p
