Hey all. Long story short: Car ran fine. Car didn't run fine; misfire cyl 3, 4. Coils OK, front bank plugs good, rear bank plugs rich. Injectors switched; misfire codes didn't return. New codes both 02 heater issue (rear 02's disabled), P0455 (which I don't think is related).
Other issues are slight knock on highway driving (random), rough/rolling idle, low-rpm misfires (smoothed a lot with new injectors).
I found this thread which says:
Now, it seems like a re-cal will address the issue, but I have SCT's Advantage software and won't that kind of eliminate all my tuning ability? Are there other things I can look into? Is there a way to find out what values to change in my own tune?
Thanks,
-Dan
Update: I'm an idiot. the 15A fuse under the hood was blown. Changed it, cleared the codes, fired 'er back up. Funny thing, I watched idle on my AFR, and it went from pegged lean, jumped to 13.6, then slowly dropped to 10.8 until I turned it off. Turned it back on, idle came back to ~14.7, and the codes came back. Opened the fuse box, heater circuit blown again. So, I have an electrical short after the fuse box. Wish me luck.

99-12-6 LACK OF ENGINE BRAKING - VEHICLES WITH 3.0L ENGINE
ROLLING IDLE - VEHICLES WITH 3.0L 2-VALVE CALIFORNIA CALIBRATION
SPARK KNOCK - VEHICLES WITH 3.0L 2-VALVE ENGINE
MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) - ILLUMINATED WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) P0135, P0155, AND/OR P1138 STORED IN MEMORY - 3.0L VEHICLES WITH 2- OR 4-VALVE ENGINE OR 3.4L VEHICLES
Publication Date: JUNE 1, 1999
FORD: 1998 TAURUS SHO, TAURUS
LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1998 SABLE
ISSUE:
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate and the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and symptoms may be stored in memory:
P0135, P0155 - Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen (HEGO) Heater - 3.0L 2- and 4-valve engines and SHO
P1138 - Key On Engine Running (KOER) - 3.0L 2- and 4-valve engines
Perceived lack of engine braking - 3.0L 2- and 4-valve engines
Spark knock - 3.0L 2-valve engines
Rolling idle - 3.0L 2-valve California Calibration only
OBDII misfire codes - 3.0L 2-valve 49-State Calibration only
This may be caused by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration.
ACTION:
Reprogram the PCM. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Retrieve, then clear DTCs for the PCM continuous memory.
If a DTC P0135, P0155, P1138 (KOER) or OBDII misfire code were present in continuous memory, perform normal diagnostics in accordance with the 1998 Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual.
If the concern is perceived lack of engine braking or spark knock, perform normal diagnostics per the PC/ED Service Manual for these concerns.
If no problems were found after performing Step 2 or 3, no other DTCs were present, and concern is still present, reprogram the PCM with the latest level calibration using Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) Tester. Refer to the following PCM Reprogramming Information Chart to identify the appropriate calibration.

Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal (FPS 8262 - orderable through DOES II, 25/pkg) and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
