Well this last weekend i finally got all the misc mechanical problems fixed on the sho so i could drive it... the only thing i did that day was the thermostat... no biggie!

So i put ~100 or so miles on the car and it started to Mis-fire occasionally at random times and rpms. Then out of no where after it sat shut off for a few minuets when i was eating, i drove it a few feet then it started missing badly and died. wouldnt start up at all.
I figured the alternator plug came un-done for some reason (it did this once before) so the battery wasnt charging... but it was plugged in. So i parked it and tried to start it, it started then died. So i started it again, and it fired up and i gave it gas to keep it from dying... and it was missing quite horribly so i shut it off.

We pulled the EFI fuse to reset the ecu and let it sit for a bit... started up and drove 5 miles home fine, it started to mis-fire occasionally again once i got near home. it also felt low on power.

Any ideas what this could be. i know my rear o2 sensor is bad, and i have an exhaust leak near the flex pipe. but neither had effected it before.

CPS. Definitely. Mine did the same as you described. They go for about a hundred bucks from Ford, but the install is a fun lot. Make sure before you take off the two phillips head screws holding the sensor in, you measure the gap between the top of the sensor and the block. I just fit a piece of cardboard between it. Best of luck.

If you start having trouble turning her over, and it only starting 1 out of every six attempts, then its the cam sensor. only $85 OEM.
