I can probably tell you what the problem is. Any time a lower end loses cylinder 5, there is one single common denominator... :shakehead

Hey,
Yes, I was for sure it could have been a cam issue, but even before I tore into it it ran fine, and no noise at all. For several days, then I dropped it all out, inspected the cams before we wasted anytime and saw no movement at all, so welded them up tight. Of course, there is that 1% of uncertainty that they may have moved and was really hard to notice.
